Narnia Post #2

The most interesting book we were reading of the Narnia series to me was The Horse and His Boy, it was one of the books I hadn’t read as a child and had not attempted to go back to. However, I wish that I had read it as a child as I think it could have been very helpful with life as whole. The entire backbone of the story is that something that was separated from home as a child and how that thing developed to be over time and experiences that it would not have otherwise had. Ultimately this was a way to experience life without parents in a profound way that couldn’t have been otherwise unless the terrible thing happened to you. This concept as brought up with Lewis’ On Stories, in that people should read more in order to present themselves with concepts and situations that would help them learn and develop in ways they wouldn’t have otherwise. To me as a child, this story would have had me learn how living without family would truly be and to be appreciative of what I truly had
