Til We have Faces: Jeff the God (Goeff)
Welcome Orual. I have been expecting you for some time now. You do not know me but I know you. I saw your first steps as a child. I remember your first laugh. I remember when you cried for the first time. I was watching when you first knew love, and I was there when you felt you first experienced heartache. I watched that night when you decided that you were the only one who you could rely on. I watched as that self reliance and hurt turned into bitterness and self-pity. As you began to harden your heart you grew colder to the world around you, even the sister you claimed to love, a word of which you can no longer understand the depth. I saw it all. All your trials, and all your triumphs. I watched as you blamed to world for the loneliness you felt in your heart. I know you were hurting. I know the depth of your suffering well Orual. But I also know the depth of the suffering you inflicted on those around you, none more than your sister. The Council of God's have sent me because I have watched you grow as your destiny intrigues me before you were born. They also have chosen me for my love of mercy, but furthermore because of my love of Justice for the hurt. While I know the depth of your anguish, I cannot ignore your crimes. You chose to isolate your heart in life and through that caused suffering in the life of those you claimed to love. Your punishment will be likewise: banished into the void for 2,000 years. There you shall understand true isolation. Goodbye, Orual.
