Thoughts Behind my Narnian Story
When I was reading Narnia, I was taken with how our heroes would always find the mere fact of their existence in Narnia would empower and strengthen them. They would become their old, regal selves that they once were in Narnia. So I thought, what if someone was bad in Narnia? Would they find themselves becoming more evil, more vile over time? Even if they were good in-between trips to Narnia? Edmond seemed like a natural foil for this character of dubious morality. He would have a vested interest in seeing whether or not this born-again Narnian can be redeemed like he redeemed himself - or at least he likes to believe that he has redeemed himself. I'm sure many of us in this class have done things we want to be able to make right, and can relate to this sort of struggle.
